Village in the Hills~

Pictured is a Community, high in the Foothills of the Annapurna Mountain Range. The Massif in the Himalayas is seen in the background, boasting Snowcapped Peaks. First observed is Annapurna South, looming over a Woman and Home. Telephone lines run above metal roof, that supports a solar panel as it meets traditional Slate Tile Shingle. A Man also sits outside his Home.

In the shadow of Annapurna South, the Man’s Home emulates the Peak with the pitch of its roof. Brick building boasts stability from its stacked Stones. The Fruits of his Labor surround him, and he Rests. A ruffled sheet of Clouds looms over head, and Vegetation sprawls in the foreground. Neighbors are close by.

The swoop of the Mountain’s Range gives rise to the Sacred Machapuchare Peak, rising nearly 7,000 meters into the Sky. It stands undisturbed by the touch of Man as one of the last undisturbed places on Earth, as it is reserved to be one of the Hindu god Shiva. Its reaches back the last Home in the row. A Woman stands outside, in Communion with her neighbors and drinks a morning tea. The slope gives way to the Path, drifting on down the Hill, and Annapurna IV towers in the sky above it.

The Anthropology collection celebrates the diversity of Humanity and different walks of Life. All united in the quintessential simplicity of being part of one Human Race. Publishing the behaviors that might be different from place to place, highlighting the relationship between culture and environment. Adjunctly, some characters we meet in our journeys of life are so compelling they deserve to have their stories told. As a good friend of mine says, “One world, One family.”
